Tennessee Communities
- Knoxville - Knoxville is a city rich with history and culture. Tennessee's original capital, the city boosts a historic downtown located on the banks of the Tennessee River. The main campus of the University of Tennessee is also located on the River. In addition to well known sports teams, the University has outstanding academic programs, art and theater, and a lively and vibrant campus culture. Area attractions include tremendous cultural offerings, art, live music, and unparalleled scenery and outdoor recreation opportunities. There are plenty of greenway trails, rivers, lakes, and streams in Knoxville, and the country's most visited national park is a short distance away. The Great Smokey Mountains National Park is a hotspot for nature enthusiasts. In autumn, the changing colors draw thousands to East Tennessee and throughout the year hiking trails, white water rivers, camping, fishing, and other outdoor activities draw visitors.
- Loudon - Loudon County is one of the fastest growing areas in Tennessee and is touted as the lakeway to the Smokies, The area has several lakes and both the Tennessee and Clinches Rivers. It is also host to several fine golf courses available for all. And don’t forget to check out the local wineries, cheese factory for tours and tasting, and the antique shops.
- Blount - Blount County, an area including the cities of Alcoa, Maryville, Friendsville, Louisville, Rockford, and Townsend, has a population of approximately 117,000. The County seat of Maryville has a population of 24,106. The City of Alcoa, formerly known as North Maryville and named after one of the area's largest employers, Alcoa, Inc., has a population of 8,118.
- Anderson - Anderson County, consisting of Clinton, Lake City, Norris, Oak Ridge, and Oliver Springs, together with rural areas, reflects a diverse county, strongly influenced by it's heritage and history.
- Jefferson - Jefferson County is nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains and includes two beautiful lakes, Cherokee and Douglas. It is located lakeside of the Smoky Mountains and popular areas of interest are Jefferson City, Dandridge, New Market, White Pine, and Baneberry.
- Grainger - Grainger County is the undiscovered gem of East Tennessee. The county is a quilted patchwork of rolling farms and lush woodlands. Grainger County has a long and colorful history and is most famous for its delicious tomatoes, Each July, the tomato is celebrated with a festival in Rutledge that attracts thousands of visitors.
- Sevier - Sevier County is a mostly rural county with a welcome assortment of parks. These park areas are full of all the traditional amenities and selection of recreational activities to keep the whole family occupied.
- Roane - Roane County is located 30 miles west of Knoxville in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. Known for it's extensive shoreline access thanks to 3 rivers, it's a great place to live for those looking for easy water access.
- Cumberland - Not only is Crossville considered the "The Golf Capital of Tennessee," it is home to numerous museums and shopping centers. The natural beauty and quiet (approx 10,000 residents) make Crossville an exceptional place.
- Campbell - Located between the Cumberland Mountains and foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Campbell County is home to Cove Lake State Park. If the 667 acre Cove Lake State Recreational Area isn't large enough, its nearby sister parks, Big Ridge and Norris along with Indian Mountain State Park give residents plenty of recreation.
- Union - Union county, home to legendary and popular musicians such as Chet Atkins, Roy Acuff and Kenny Chesney is located just 15 miles north of Knoxville. Union County has something for everyone with Emerald lake at the foot of the Appalachian Mountains, museums, historic landmarks, quaint shops, and wide open spaces perfect for viewing wildlife or enjoying an outdoor adventure.
- Cocke - Conveniently in the shadows of the majestic mountains, Cocke County is full of things to do. Four beautiful state and national forests (the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Martha Sundquist Forest, the Appalachian Trail, and the Cherokee National Forest), three recreational rivers (the Nolichucky, the Pigeon, and the French Broad) and 34,000 of the friendliest folks call this place home.
- Monroe - Monroe County is southwest of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park along Interstate 75 and less than a hour from Knoxville and Chattanooga. Home to hundreds of miles of hiking trails and breathtaking views, you will not have trouble finding outdoor activities to keep you busy.
- Hamblen - Formed in 1870, Hamblen is one of the smaller areas in East Tennessee ranked as the third smallest county in the state. It is part of the Morristown Metro Area.
- Scott - Situated on top of the Cumberland Plateau, Scott County is home to the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area. Rich in natural resources and scenic beauty, it won't take long for you to discover why Scott County is a great place to visit, a great place to work, and a great place to live.
- Claiborne - Claiborne County is located in the northeast part of the state where Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia meet and where historic figures like Daniel Boone and Thomas Walker led the westward migration that made America the country it is today.
